The Infrared UI, the CLI output and these docs follow the brand rules and voice below.
Brand rules
| Rule | What it means in practice |
|---|---|
| Ember is for one primary action per view | The ember brand hue (#c2381a light, #ff7a50 dark) marks the single most important action on a screen. A view with two ember buttons has one too many. |
| Thermal marks agent work | The thermal treatment identifies work an agent did or is doing: an agent-authored commit, a running AgentWorkflowRun step, an agent verdict. Human work never uses it. |
| Status colors are Argo states | Status is always an Argo CD state, Synced/OutOfSync or Healthy/Progressing/Degraded/Suspended/Missing, shown with an icon and the word. Color alone never carries meaning. |
| Type | IBM Plex Sans for interface and body text, IBM Plex Mono for code, pins and identifiers, and Archivo for headings. |
| Neutrals | Ink #141922 on surface #f5f6f8 in light mode; surface #0d1015 in dark mode. |

Voice
Plain, specific and active. Sentence case for headings and buttons. No emoji and no exclamation marks. Use the terms in the glossary and nothing in its "never say" column.
