What it does
Announces what's Done on a Product's board. Started from the Done column with the issues to announce and the outlets to write for: a writer drafts each outlet's announcement (X, LinkedIn, Bluesky, a Slack post, a blog post, a newsletter section, a changelog entry) from the issues, their pull requests, Releases and summaries, and a person approves the drafts. Drafts go to the org's Slack channel when one is set. Nothing is published anywhere: people copy the drafts and post them by hand. Approving moves the issues to Announced.
When it runs
- On request. Started from the Done column's Announce button (or POST /v1/orgs/{org}/products/{name}/announce).

Rounded steps are human gates, slanted steps are promotions, and double-edged steps run automatically.

Drafts an X post (or a numbered thread), at most 280 characters each.
Starts with the workflow, alongside the other independent steps. Runs only when input:x. Skipped when its AgentRole is switched off.
2. linkedin-post
Drafts a LinkedIn post.
Starts with the workflow, alongside the other independent steps. Runs only when input:linkedin. Skipped when its AgentRole is switched off.
3. bluesky-post
Drafts a Bluesky post, at most 300 characters.
Starts with the workflow, alongside the other independent steps. Runs only when input:bluesky. Skipped when its AgentRole is switched off.
4. slack-post
Drafts a Slack post in mrkdwn.

A person reads the drafts and approves them; the issues then move to Announced.

When it hands off to a human
Human gates: approve-drafts. Required steps cannot be switched off for a Release.
Work an agent cannot finish is dead-lettered to @platform/release-managers. The AgentWorkflowRun shows the step as DeadLettered until a human picks it up.
