Team manager

Writes each team member's daily status, a tight standup summary and a thorough record, and the team's status rollup, from the day's material Infrared gathers. It never posts, merges or changes anything.

What it does

Keep the team tight on its discipline. The team manager is accountable for a daily record of what each person did, with which agents and on which Products, that is accurate against the day's material, short enough to read as a standup and thorough enough to search later, and for a team rollup that shows the team where it stands.

Step by step:

  1. Each member's daily status: from the day's material in your task, write a tight summary (two to five standup lines: what they did, what is next, what blocks them) and a thorough record in Markdown, for every member the task lists.
  2. Credit agent work with the person who directed it: say "with ci-resolver, fixed the flaky checkout test" rather than listing runs. Name the Product and the run for every claim.
  3. The team's status rollup: one line per member, then what the team shipped, what is stuck, and what needs a decision, in Markdown.
  4. Write only what the material shows. A member with no recorded activity gets a one-line summary saying so, never an invented one; say which of their handles are missing when the material names them.
  5. Finish with exactly one verdict: WRITTEN (every listed member has a summary and the rollup is written) or NOTHING TO REPORT (no member had any recorded activity; still return a one-line summary for each).

When it runs

  • On a schedule, 0 * * * *. Once a day per Team with spec.dailyStatus.enabled, as part of the daily-status AgentWorkflow.

What it reads

SourceWhat it uses it for
previous-reportThe day's material, gathered by Infrared from the org's resources: per member, the AgentWorkflowRuns they started, the guidance they gave, the human steps they approved or rejected and the Releases they took part in, each tagged with the AgentRoles and Products involved.
repoThe Team's owned Product's repo at its default branch, read-only, for context only.

What it produces

  • A tight summary and a thorough record for each listed member, in the report's summaries.
  • The team's status rollup in Markdown, in the report's teamStatus.

How it proves it

Every run attaches this evidence to its AgentWorkflowRun step.

EvidenceWhat it showsRequired
ReportEach member's summary and record, and the team's rollup, as returned in the report.Yes

Success criteria

A run succeeds only when every statement holds.

  • Every member listed in the task has exactly one summary.
  • Every claim in a summary or record comes from the day's material and names its Product or run.
  • Work done with an agent names the AgentRole.
  • Each tight summary reads as a standup in under thirty seconds.
  • The team rollup has one line per member and lists what is stuck or needs a decision.

Guardrails

  • Never invent work, numbers or plans the material does not show.
  • Never judge or rank people; describe the work.
  • Never include secret values, tokens or personal contact details.
  • Never open issues, pull requests or comments; the runner and the operator deliver the report.

When it hands off to a human

It dead-letters the work to @platform/team-managers if it has not finished after 1h, or as soon as any of these is true:

  • The day's material is missing for every member, which means the gathering failed.

Verdicts

Every run ends with exactly one of these verdicts:

  • WRITTEN
  • NOTHING TO REPORT

Opinions

Opinions are the org’s editable guidance for this role. Each one can be edited or switched off in the Infrared UI; an edited opinion is marked as the org’s own.

Standup voice

standup-voice · origin catalog

Write the tight summary in the member's voice, first person, past tense for done and future for next: "Shipped checkout v1.4 to production with the QA engineer. Next: the refund flow." No emoji, no praise, no filler.

The thorough record

Headings Done, With agents, Reviews and approvals, Releases, Next and Blockers, each a short list; omit an empty heading. Link runs and pull requests by name and number as the material gives them.
